The University introduced its publisher at the time of launching the first book.
UNA (UNA as per its Spanish acronym) was formally introduced to community at the time of welcoming Philippe-Alain Michaud, author of its first edition, “Aby Warburg and the moving image” .
We have set up our publisher by launching this first book which will be available in every bookstore all over the country.
The main objective is to establish a specialized publisher which may guarantee quality products encouraging the artistic development, cultural industries and higher education in arts. Furthermore, we have endeavored to foster and broadcast both the knowledge produced by UNA and that circulating in the area, outside this institution. We are focused on works associated to refection, production and circulation from and on arts which may occupy those vacancies existing both in the national and the international publishing market. The purpose of all this is to facilitate and satisfy the demand that publishing industry has not covered so far.
This launching represents the fulfillment of a largely expected Project by a university where creation and reflection are met to produce a transforming impact on society.
